The best place in Kansas for deer hunting

Been hunting for a while in Kansas, but I never knew, which county is the best for deer hunting?

Sherman County in western Kansas tops for deer numbers, public land with good bucks if you scout CRP fields. Elk too if you draw, but focus east for bigger bodies.

Riley County around Manhattan has thick timber and rivers drawing big deer, harvest data shows 150+ class bucks regular.

Hunt draws there for archery season.

Yeah Riley, Chase, and Bourbon counties usually get talked about for big bucks

I've hunted Sherman County a couple times. Plenty of deer in those CRP fields if you get off the beaten path like you said. @Sunflower_Hunt7
