As far as I can tell, neither has been refinished. It's uncommon to find these, much less in such good condition.
What little info I can find came from a French book on Pieper and I had to use Google translate.

The rolling block is a parlor/gallery gun and the 1921 is a Boy's rifle.

I'm still trying to find some Aguila Super Colibri to use with the gallery gun.

The dates on the tags are my best estimate for the date of manufacture for that specific firearm.

@Catt57 Do you use the Aguila Super Colibri because it is a mild load? If so, can you use CB Caps? They might be easier to find.

Two good looking little rifles. I like old guns and especially 22s
I've tried the CCI CB shorts and longs. Those are still too powerful for the action. But the regular Colibri is just a touch too low power for the long barrel.
 
Oh, and btw, That 1921 is not chambered for 22S, L, or LR.
It's chambered in 22 Extra Long. (It can still use 22LR SV though)
