That must've been a special memory. Fishing trips like that stay with you for life. Didn't have the chance to meet my grandfather.

I was fortunate to know both of my grandfather's very well. They both passed away a week apart in January 1991.

The one pictured (my dad's dad) was a professional hunting and fishing guide for Louisiana Fur Company. He took company executives and guests on hunting and fishing trips plus had a shrimp boat that he operated on his own time.

I have one of his tackle boxes and some rods and reels plus I also have his Colt Police Positive .38 Special with his holster.
