Super nice collection of Smiths!

 

[Willfully Armed]

Ive had several 29 and 629s over the years. Probably shouldve kept them all, but, there was always something shiny and new that caught my eye.

Ive also had a plethora of J frames, with the M60 3" being my absolute favorite. My biggest problem with all the smiths I've owned, is i got them cheap, and was always able to make money on them.

The only Smith I have left, is a 4" 64 that I got for super cheap, and just cant get rid of.

I do "technically" have a 360PD that a super nice guy is holding on to for me.... everyone I know hates to shoot it, whereas I still like the feeling of my carpals and metacarpals being rearranged.

I have a 360J that is a brute when shooting anything more than a 148gr semiwadcutter.

I carry it with 125gr +P.
I don’t think that I will notice the recoil if I ever need to use it.

I had a cherry hwy patrolman that I sold on the old forum when my youngest boy was born and in the NICU for 2 months. Its at a good home though and he reminds me he still has it so thats nice.
I need to pick up a used 637 no lock if anyone has one.

Great .38-44!!! im lucky to own 2 a pre war long action with 5 inch barrel and a 4 inch post war short action. Just after picking up the pre model 20 the same gun shop had a model 20 and a model model 20-1 and a worn out .38-44 outdoorsman. If i floated a small loan my collection would have been complete. As a side note my pre war HD was owned by a sheriff back east that later became a senator.

The Sheriff connection is interesting. Mine was made in 1937 and although it is not marked, it letters as one of seven shipped to the Durham NC Police Department.
