Stevens 311A chambered in my favorite shotgun gauge - 16.
Should be at my FFL’s by the end of the week.

I have a feeling yours is going to have that classic old-school charm. Once it arrives at your FFL, take a moment to give it a thorough inspection. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it feels like it’s ready to hit the trails right away

The seller told me that he shot a round of trap with it recently.

I suspect it is ready to go.

Very nice!! Just curious about something: why do you favor the 16 as opposed to the 12 bore?
More sentimental than any other reason. My grandfather harvested an untold number of ducks in south Louisiana with his Sweet Sixteen plus quite a few whitetail deer using buckshot. He gave me my first shot gun, a 16g H&R Topper then later I acquired a Winchester Model 37 in 16g

Most of my shotguns are 12g and three .410s

Should be a good serviceable piece. I have 3 16 ga. guns now. A New Sweet 16, a Stevens 555 o/u and a CZ Bobwhite sxs. I got into the 16 about 15 years ago. Just because it was "different". I also reload for mine. Does it have any advantages over the other gauges? Probably not. Weighs a little less than the 12's. Recoils a little less than the 20's with similar loads.
