Welcome to the forum and to the shooting sports hobby!
Being a new shooter can be exciting, and can also be overwhelming. There is so much information out there available at the touch of a button these days, and most of it's good, some is questionable, and some is downright wrong. Research your decisions, try things before buying if you can, seek out opinions (but treat them as opinions, not necessarily fact).
This is a good place to learn - I have found the community is generally happy to help and has a wealth of knowledge. We also all have our opinions!
