Virtually no information is available on this mid 1950s slide-action 22. Even the exact manufacture dates are disputed, although 1953-1955 is commonly cited. Noble Firearms Manufacturing Company existed from 1943-1973 and was based in Haydenville, MA.

The model 33A was also brand labeled for Montgomery Wards as the Western Field model 25XNH-830A and for Harrington & Richardson as the model 422.

Original retail: $35.65
Action: Hammerless Slide / pump
Barrel length: 24 in.
Over all length: 41 in.
Sights: Front bead - Rear leaf
Scope mounts: none
Capacity: 21 short, 17 long, 15 long rifle

This fun little rifle has an odd design in that each new round chambered ejects the previous one and the magazine tube follower is the ejector for the final round.
To accomplish this, the follower is spring mounted and is pushed up by the lifter. I can say from experience that many surviving examples are missing the follower and complete inner mag tubes are nearly impossible to locate. It took me nearly 4 years to find one and it wasn't cheap.
