Revolver for a total gun newbie

Total newbie here and I've always loved how revolvers look, but I've never owned one before. What’s a solid beginner model that I could start with?

Used Model 17 or Model 18 Smith & Wesson. Both are .22 caliber. That's a good place to start--ammo is cheap, not horribly loud and very light recoil.

In a 22 I would also recommend the Diamondback Sidekick.

Colt King Cobra in 22LR but it's going to be pricey.

You may think about RIA M200 in 38 Special. This is a not a sexy revolver, but reliable and the model number is the typical price. That is lower than most of the revolver field. You will see if you like a revolver in general before spending for one with a better trigger, etc., that costs 3 times that or more. They are our "student" revolvers for classes.
