My 1911....thanks to the Black Friday sale

With all the Black Friday deals popping up everywhere, what did y'all end up buying or planning to get?

So I finally treated myself to the 1911 I’ve always wanted, and my local shop gave me a sweet deal thanks to the sale!

I blew a bunch of money on a S&W Model 41 since they're discontinuing it this year, so I'm basically tapped out for awhile. Also had to renew house and cars insurance and property tax is coming up in three weeks.....so I'm tapped out for awhile.

Can't go wrong with a Springer 1911, Alan. Good early Christmas present!

Nothing fancy. Just a 5 1/2" Model 41, stock as it can be.
I've only put 40 rounds through it so far (two 10 round clips) of mostly floor sweeping cartridges, a mix of brands, velocity and who knows what else. It digested them all, with no failures to fire or eject.

I have a Mod. 46. Nothing fancy, but I really like it. Feels like a 1911 and is very dependable.

Whoops! My bad. Its a Model 422. Dang my old memory. Guess I'd better get it out of the safe more often.
