Just received another 2000 rounds of the same stuff for about the same price--maybe a couple of dollars more. I was thinking to get some before the price goes up, which I hear that it will really soon. Two cases of Federal 9mm range ammo from my old supplier ammoman.com. 2,000 rounds for just under $500, taxes and shipping included. Not great perhaps but not bad either. Less then 25cents a round.
"The new Savage Model 64 Color Series includes rifles in blue, green, orange, pink, purple, and a patriotic red-white-and-blue, and of course it is still available in black."I didn't know they sold purple guns?
Quite the collector Catt57, very nice. How do you do it?It's been a busy (expensive) day.
I found a Stevens Little Scout 14 1/2 (top) to go with the recently acquired Stevens Junior (bottom).

Then one of my grail guns, a Savage 1903 22lr pump action, box magazine.

Next is one I never thought I'd see in person. A Quackenbush. The breach swivels sideways to load it.

Finally is something I didn't even know existed before today.
Stevens Tip Up 22 Rifle Model 1.
I believe this is the first rifle model Stevens produced. Supposedly dates between 1870-1895.
Yes, that patent date is 1864, and yes, the barrel is 1" in diameter, and yes, it does not use a forend stock.

I've been reading a book on Maynard rifles. J. Stevens Arms and Tool Co. took over the Massachusetts Arms Co. that had been making Maynards for many years. Some of the first Stevens rifles were basically Maynard's patent.
