What did you get today that is gun related?

Added another book to the library.

Two cases of Federal 9mm range ammo from my old supplier ammoman.com. 2,000 rounds for just under $500, taxes and shipping included. Not great perhaps but not bad either. Less then 25cents a round.
Just received another 2000 rounds of the same stuff for about the same price--maybe a couple of dollars more. I was thinking to get some before the price goes up, which I hear that it will really soon.

I picked up a 9mm AR bcg at Rainier's in Wichita today in their Bargain Bin! I'll order a few

small parts from JoeBob Outfitters in Hays and complete a parts 9mm AR Carbine.

Also picked up some Magpul followers at Bass Pro to replace some old green military followers in some

G.I. mags and also picked up a Magpul MS1 to MS4 sling adapter.

Got a couple new toys today.
$25 for the set on Amazon.

Picked up 3 boxes of IMI M193 at the Chisholm trail show yesterday. Not a great price, but not terrible either. Should go bang in one of my FRT equipped guns.

Also bought 43 guns, but that was for work, and thus it doesn't count.

I've read Hell, I Was There but don't own it. The library got it for me.

I ones I own are Sixguns by Keith, Elmer Keith's Big Game Hunting, and Shotguns by Keith. Sixguns was a fairly recent reprint but the other two are originals that I found in antique stores.

I used to have a ton of Guns & Ammo magazines but I donated them and a bunch of Shooting Times to a VA hospital.

Picked up a Savage 64 and a few extra mags. The 20rd mags are kinda ridiculous.

It matches the Rascal though.

I didn't know they sold purple guns?
"The new Savage Model 64 Color Series includes rifles in blue, green, orange, pink, purple, and a patriotic red-white-and-blue, and of course it is still available in black."

And the best part is the solid colors are under $200.

Picked this up on Thursday. I don't shoot shotguns enough to justify an actual Benelli M4/M1014, so this MAC 1014 Breacher will have to do the job.

I acquired this hard to find specimen recently.

Ruger 10/22 boat paddle.

Found a box of second-hand PPU .38 S&W ammo in a small gun shop, yesterday. I have an S&W made for the Brits in WWII in there .380 Rimmed caliber. I mostly load lead 180 gr. bullets to British .380 MkII specs, but I thought it would be interesting to see what these these PPU rounds would do. Besides, the box was $15.

After waiting several weeks, I finally got my AS Designs ARC Fire V2, and got it installed in my HK. Between the 0/45/90 degree levers, the HK MR style selectors, and a FA pictogram transfer decal, I am really liking how this turned out. Looks and feels how an MR556 should with an FRT.

Rohm model 10 with a custom made holster. The holster appears to be dated 1965.

It's been a busy (expensive) day.

I found a Stevens Little Scout 14 1/2 (top) to go with the recently acquired Stevens Junior (bottom).

Then one of my grail guns, a Savage 1903 22lr pump action, box magazine.

Next is one I never thought I'd see in person. A Quackenbush. The breach swivels sideways to load it.

Finally is something I didn't even know existed before today.

Stevens Tip Up 22 Rifle Model 1.
I believe this is the first rifle model Stevens produced. Supposedly dates between 1870-1895.

Yes, that patent date is 1864, and yes, the barrel is 1" in diameter, and yes, it does not use a forend stock.

I've been reading a book on Maynard rifles. J. Stevens Arms and Tool Co. took over the Massachusetts Arms Co. that had been making Maynards for many years. Some of the first Stevens rifles were basically Maynard's patent.

Might I ask what book that is?
