My first one was given to me by my dad in 1965 when I joined the Boy Scouts.
That is a VERY nice collection! When I opened the thread, I was expecting to see a red one like I
have that is like a Victorinox or Swiss or whatever I have. Those are sweet!

Boy Scout and Cub Scout knives have been around since at least the 1930s. My oldest are from the '50s.

I think that I only have one, and I don't think that it is an official BSA one that was offered in the catalog. I got it through some candy company offer. It's a two blade whittler, if I recall correctly. I'll have to take a photo and post it. Don't hold your breath, it's buried pretty deep in my Scout stuff collection, in my closet.

That's a nice knife. I would have thought that it was older. I've never seen one with the light colored scales like yours.
Maybe it's a regional thing?? Just guessing??
I bought that knife in the Chicago area around 1983-ish but before 1986
Honestly, I have no idea but now I will have to look for one.

To Bad one can not even think about getting a "NEW" Boy Scout knife. Because there is NOLONGER BOY SCOUTS!
