I just bought this Ruger RSI International chambered in .30-06 on a different forum.

Should be at my FFL next week.

That humongo scope needs to go. Maybe a compact 4x….

Picked it up from my FFL today.
Now to find a suitable scope for it.

Two Ruger GSR's are in my stable; one in 223/5.56 and the other is 308/7.62. The GSR (Gunsite Scout Rifle) is a modified M77 and I love both of mine.

Are your GSRs scoped? With long eye relief scopes, sort of like a pistol scope?

My only other Ruger centerfire rifle is a M77 MkII chambered in .223

No; neither of them. I don't do well with scopes for some reason. Macklin and I went round and round about this. He found it inconceivable that I do better without scopes.

@gerhard1 Does your .223 GSR use AR mags or a proprietary Ruger mag?

Both the 223 and the 308 use Ruger mags.

I wish this wasn't true, but the 223 GSR is no longer made.

I am surprised about the .223 being discontinued. I would have thought it would be more popular than the .308.
