Your "beginner" handgun.

I think the first handgun I fired was my dad's .45 Colt SAA. The best "starter" gun, but impressive. My learning curve was on his Colt Scout .22, purchased about 1961. MY first gun was an Italian 1851 Colt Navy brass-frame .36 reproduction. I think it cost all of about $60. For that money, I had my choice between that and an Astra 600 in 9mm with Waffenamt ordnance stamps in a holster. Man, I wish I had bought that Astra.
