Just wondering if anyone has a lead on public hunting grounds to hunt prairie dogs?

I thought Cimarron National Grassland in the southwest corner was going to be a good spot but haven't heard any good reports about hunting there.

Had some private land spots up in Nebraska; but they have thinned out so much, not really worth the drive up there or the license costs. Been checking in CO and WY, most places in CO are pay hunts and with the checkerboard public land boarder crossing BS occurring in WY; that doesn't seam worth the hassle.

Seen any, post them up.

Thanks!

We used to go to western Kansas every year to hunt prairie dogs. Without exception, every time we went back to the place we'd been successful the year before, there were few or no prairie dogs at all and we would have to find another place.

FWIW, the last trip I took was to South Dakota, close to the Rosebud Indian reservation. There were a lot of prairie dogs but I found myself deliberately missing them, so that was the end of my prairie dog trips.
