I love spending time shooting on private land but the dust can be a real pain. It ends up getting everywhere. Does anyone have recos for lubricants that can withstand dry, windy conditions without attracting all the grit? I’d appreciate any tips!

I'm a big fan of PTFE-based options. They really stick to the metal and create this smooth, dry surface that doesn't pick up all that annoying grit. They might not be as eye-catching as some of those wet lubes, but they really hold their own when the wind starts whipping up dust.

We shot a lot of PDogs in Western KS winds. Hot, windy, and the dust was usually swirling. I ran a 24" Bull barrelled AR .223 and 18" 6.5 Grendel AR, and never even noticed much grittyness in the action over 3 - 4 days using good ol' Breakfree CLP. NiB BCGs may have helped. (and I realize some folks don't like NiB BCGs, but I've never had any issues with them with thousands of rounds through each rifle)

I've never tried anything else really.
Use it on everything. Never any issues to make me look at an else.
