I was looking for some advice on a stock repair and came across this smith here in Topeka. He had advertised in the local Southerlands.
His name is Jay VanLeeuwen and he's just North of town off Hwy 24.
Friendly guy with a dedicated garage for his shop. He's been out East to train and even attended the School of the American Rifle course.
Anyway, he gave me some great advice for my repair and I'm pretty sure I can do it myself now.
He seems knowledgeable and I look forward to visiting with him for other jobs that I can't handle.
He's still getting set up with bigger equipment but I think he's off to a good start.
He's got a website:
