I got into bushcraft last year and now I think about blade geometry more than I think about most things. High convex grind on a camp knife is genuinely a joy to use in the field.

Getting into bushcraft pulled me into the whole world of sharpening stones and edge angles like I never cared about before. Once you start working wood with a properly sharpened blade, it’s hard to go back to dull tools.

That’s usually how it starts. Before you know it, you’re comparing grinds the same way folks compare calibers. A good convex edge really does make the work in the field feel smoother.
