I don't have a concealed carry permit but what I am led to believe is that if you are encountered by a law enforcement officer for any reason, you are to raise you hands away from where the gun is and inform the cop(s) that you are carrying a firearm. That is so that what happened to that guy in Minneapolis doesn't happen to you.
I'm assuming that is drummed into your head while taking the Concealed Carry class. I don't carry a gun but I would make sure that the cop hears it from me first if I did. And I damn sure wouldn't take a gun to a protest rally.
