I remember seeing this segment of 60 minutes when it first came out in the late 1970s.

While not all of it is relevant for civilians, it does give an interesting perspective on the mindset of criminals

  I've seen some old clips from that time and it's pretty interesting how much of it still holds up. Not every single thing applies, of course, but that core mindset, that's still relevant.
