Got into shooting a decade ago, and I’ve been completely hooked! Living in Wichita is a big plus since I have access to some great ranges and gun shops, and I’m just an hour away from decent hunting areas. With Kansas implementing constitutional carry, it’s made my life a lot easier. I can carry every day without the need for permits or fees to exercise my rights.

Welcome to the club!

Welcome to the Forum! Nice to see you want to take full advantage of the 2A amenities we have in Kansas. Constitutional Carry is great, I mean what is not to love about just carrying and not have to worry about permits.

I might just let you know that having the Kansas Concealed permit does help in other ways though.
I had to travel to Colorado this summer and having my Kansas permit eased my mind about carrying in that state. I read up on it and found that the reciprocity would come in handy. Just make sure you follow THEIR laws and everything is fine.

It also is VERY BENEFICIAL when purchasing a firearm at a gun store. Not saying you HAVE to get a License, especially now that it doesn't cost to renew it (it does cost to take a course) but it does have advantages to having one.

Anyway, again, welcome!

Having spent a decade in the shooting world, you’ve likely built up some great experience and maybe even a few memorable stories. Whether it’s range talks, carry convos, hunting locations or even local shop suggestions. This community really comes alive when everyone shares their insights. We’re happy to have you with us and look forward to seeing you around the forum. Stay safe out there! Oh, and how was your Thanksgiving?
