Mossberg 146B

This was a post WW2 update of the model 46B. Historical info on this model is scarce despite there being a large community of Mossberg collectors.

The main unique features are the large capacity of the tube magazine and the unique sights.
Able to hold 30 Short, 23 Long, or 20 LR cartridges it's one of the largest capacity tube magazine fed 22s out there.
The No. 1A ramp front sight has 4 different post options contained in a single single assembly. These are changed by simply flipping up the one you want to use.

I also highly recommend the book "More Gun for the Money."

It's a 304 page history of Mossberg firearms with over 500 illustrations and photographs, published in 1995 in conjunction with OFM’s 75th anniversary.
This is currently the only book in print that deals exclusively with Mossberg.
You can order it directly from the authors for $34 w/shipping: https://www.mossbergcollectors.org/moregun.htm
They will even autograph it for you. 😁

Now for the close ups...
