Around 8-10k rounds. Or if I see malfunctions I think might be related. Like not going in to battery.

I had a Taurus PT92AFS i bought in 99 and sold in 19 that has 23k+ through it on the original recoil and mag springs.

My DW PM9 made it about 5k before it needed a new one.

Absolutely! It’s one of those things that often goes unnoticed until something feels “off.” I usually swap out recoil springs based on how many rounds I’ve fired instead of sticking to a schedule. For my range guns, I do it more often, while for my carry guns, it’s less frequent. I’ve noticed that this method really helps keep everything running smoothly and cuts down on wear over time.
