Ranges for rifle training

When it comes to rifle training, I find myself leaning toward outdoor ranges because of the space, distance options, and more realistic feel. But I know indoor ranges have their own advantages, like weather control and convenience. For those of you who shoot rifles regularly, do you prefer outdoor ranges, indoor setups, or a mix of both?

For rifle shooting, it's hard to beat an outdoor range. Few indoor ranges have the range necessary for good rifle practice, and the added boom of a rifle inside is rarely pleasant.

Exactly, the space and distance outdoors make a huge difference. Indoor ranges are convenient, but nothing beats long-range practice and the real feel of shooting rifles outside
