Suppressor questions

I am looking to buy my first suppressor. I have already researched what I want and mounting possibilities, caliber, modularity and such. I would just like to hear from those who have gone through the application process to get one.

For those who have bought suppressors already, how did you do it? Fill out all the paperwork and go to the PD or Sheriff's office for fingerprint cards? Has anyone used the SilencerCo Kiosks around the area? I think there is at least 4 or 5 in Wichita alone. Is it easier (easier to go through the application process) than going "the old way"?

My first one took 51 days, done the old way, form 4 as an individual. Dealer filled out my form 4, I i took my own photo, and had the OPD Chief sign in person.


Last one was all done through Thunderbird Tactical, form 4 to trust. They did everything and the only time I went down to the shop was to fill out the 4473 and I took possession.

E-file is the way to go, the approvals were super fast before the amnesty. I havent heard if approvals have slowed down since the new zero tax stamps went into effect.
