Did you do anything related to guns today? Maybe you spent some time at the range, cleaned your firearms, tinkered with some gear, or just checked out some new stuff online? Let's hear it!

Actully did this yesterday.

Repaired a Marlin 49DL and took it out for a test run. The backstop is at 50yrds.

Something I usually do in the winter months is take each one of my firearms and clean it, even if it hasn't be shot for a while, inspect it, lube and wipe it down. I will then evaluate it to see if I need (or want) to change anything on it or just leave it the way it is.

That's how I got to where I am with my 9mm and 300 BLK AR pistols and wanting to change them over for suppressor mounting. So I am changing a couple of barrels and hand guards and getting some keymo micro mounting attachments. That way I can use 1 can for a while on multiple guns until I can get more suppressors!
And no, I do not have a suppressor.....yet.

Took a buddy to Ravenwood in Topuka and only managed to break 64/100. I knew I wasnt getting into the gun properly, and my cheek still hurts because of it. Also doesnt help that its an aluminum receiver inertia setup.

Then that lead me to find out there arent any cz 1012 specific offerings for a replacement pad and I'll have to modify another. So, waiting on that donor part to show.

Last night I took apart and re-assembled a recently-inherited 1941 Remington Model 11 to clean and oil it. I gained a new appreciation for modern designs that are easier to take down.

Disassembled 2 450 sizer lubricators to clean out dried lube. Today will be soak and scrub day. Its been
a long while since I cast bullets. Glad I checked before casting a bunch of bullets.:)

Just ordered from The Glock Store, a Gen 3 Hex Slide for a Glock 17 clone I am building. Also ordered
a slide completion kit and, at least for now, some basic OEM Glock sights.

I have the completed lower and a barrel already, So I just need the above parts to complete.

For me, part of my problem of having "extra" parts lying around is that I figure, if just get this part and
that part, I can complete another rifle or maybe a few other parts to complete another pistol!

I weighed and measured length of several brands of .380 ACP cases. I was looking to see which were the most consistent. Starline were the most consistent. (Not a big surprise.) Runner-up was S&B. Most importantly, there was enough variance in weight that it will need to be taken into consideration when pushing maximum loads.

Cleaned an M1 Garand today. And a Ruger Super Wrangler.
Oh, and found what I think will be a good local gunsmith.
