Has anyone here tried a S&W Model 617? They are superb. IIRC, a review was posted on the old KSCCW forum by yours truly.

I also have (don't laugh) a Davis copy of the old 1866 Remington derringer in 22 LR.

My OG 22, Colt New Frontier convertible. Slightly sacrilegious being stored in Ruger tupperware.

As well as my current host. Sig(GSG) 1911-22. It goes bang most of the time, and its pretty quiet canned up, BUT. Ive never been happy with its accuracy, as i consider it to be quite poor. My OG host was a Sig Mosquito THAT ACTUALLY WENT BANG AND CYCLED EVERYTIME. No, thats not a typo. I found it to be exceptionally accurate and shouldve never traded it. Unfortunately, I did trade it, and it eventually ended up in the hands of a dealer at an ICT gunshow, and that dealers reselling plan resulted in my first phone call from the ATF doing a chain of custody trace because it endsd up in a neat little government program known as Fast and Furious.

That being said, ive tried the Mk3/4/5 and ive experienced excessive chamber pop on all three variants with my MITE. Id love to find a MKII Target and have it threaded, but i dont see them anymore.

What off the shelf 22 hosts keep.you guys happy?
