I know you probably won't see this, but I will respond anyway for those in the future who may be thinking the same thing.
So far, and let me clarify that this is my opinion, this site has more of a wide range of interests than most of the other sites I belong to. I also belong to AR15.com, Glocktalk.com, 1911forum.com, M4carbine.com (not sure if it is still around) There was one about Savage Rifles.com, but it just shut down, Ford150 forum, Harley Davidson forums.
What I am trying to say is most people will go to a particular site to get particular information about a particular item they have because the information is more concentrated and you can get answers fast. BUT, one thing they lack is a bond. When I go to some of the other sites, it just opinions from faceless people hundreds of miles away I will never meet. Sure, there are a couple you might get friendly with, out of the tens of thousands on the site but that's about it.
This site, again imo, is more broad (or will be once is gets more members). The best part, imo, is that it is Kansas site for Kansans. A lot of the people on here know each other from KSCCW and not only from KSCCW but know each other personally. That forum was like, well...for lack of a better phrase, a family. True, some were a bit dysfunctional, but still it had a closeness to it. Some of the members here may only be an hour away from each other or maybe just across town. Hell, maybe just down the street. Maybe help on a problem can be done in person.
Anyway, I do hope you see this and maybe hang around a little longer, and give the forum a chance. If not, best of luck to you and I hope you find website that fits your needs.
